All mentors are verified current college athletes who go through an onboarding process. We check their program affiliation and provide guidelines to ensure conversations are safe, respectful, and helpful.
You’ll get real, honest insight into what it’s like to be a student-athlete at a specific college — things you can’t find on a website or recruiting brochure. It’s a chance to ask about the team culture, balancing school and sports, and what the daily schedule is really like as a college athlete.
The cost depends on how many sessions you book and which additional resources you’d like to use. Membership is $5/month which includes access to email guides and articles, Rate My Program (coming 2026!) and visibility to our athletes. If you decide you’d like to speak with an athlete you only pay for the conversations you schedule — there’s no long-term commitment. See Pricing Tab for more information.
Yes, parents are welcome to sit in or listen if it makes the athlete feel more comfortable. However, we encourage students to lead the conversation themselves — this helps them take ownership of their future, ask the questions that matter most to them, and build confidence communicating with older athletes and, eventually, college coaches. It’s a valuable skill that will help them throughout the recruiting process and beyond.
No program can guarantee an offer, but these conversations give athletes an inside edge — helping them understand what to expect from different programs and what it takes to be a college athlete. Combined with our email guides and templates, athletes are better prepared to take action in the recruiting process.
Aspiring athletes pick a time that works for them from the college mentor’s available slots. If you need to reschedule, it’s easy to do so through the system. All conversations will be 30 minutes.
You’ll get practical, easy-to-follow guides about what it’s really like to play college sports, how recruiting works, how to build a strong profile, and proven email templates for contacting coaches. These resources help athletes know what to say and when to say it.
Safety is a top priority. All communication is monitored through our secure platform, and mentors agree to a code of conduct. Parents are welcome to participate if they’d like extra peace of mind.

You can mentor as many or as few athletes as you’d like — it’s completely up to you! As a mentor, you set your own availability, and athletes will book time slots based on the schedule you share in the system. This way, you have full control and flexibility over when and how often you connect with aspiring student-athletes.
Mentors receive a short onboarding guide that outlines best practices, conversation tips, and suggested topics to cover during sessions. We also provide example questions and conversation starters to help you guide meaningful discussions.
You’ll mainly share your experience with your college program — what daily life is like as a student-athlete, how to balance academics and sports, what the team culture is like, and tips for the recruiting process. Many athletes will also want advice on what they can do now to prepare for college-level competition.
You’ll set your availability in our scheduling system. Athletes book sessions based on the time slots you open. You’ll receive email notifications for new bookings and reminders, giving you plenty of advance notice.

Our support team is here to help with any issues or questions. You can reach out at any time for guidance, and we’ll check in regularly to make sure you feel supported and comfortable in your role.

After each session, athletes have the option to leave feedback about what they found helpful and how their experience was. We share this with you to highlight what’s going well and to help you keep improving.

Absolutely, it’s encouraged! We love when mentors share their insights. You can volunteer to write short pieces or tips for our email guides, which help high school athletes learn about recruiting, communicating with coaches, and college life.
